My wonderland

 Just a book lover...

I Found it!

when I finished reading Insurgent, I was wondering in which faction would belong. In my Insurgent post, I wrote that I would like to be in Erudite or in Amity.

According to this test, my result is...

Divergent!

"Inconclusive.
You broke the system. You fit in two or more different factions, no matter what combination of factions, you better beware: they will kill you. "

divergent

O.O Ok...

Somebody else is a Divergent?

Allegiant - Veronica Roth

So this is the last movie of the divergent series!

The soundtrack, just as the other movies, awesome.
The special effects, getting better.
The cast, am... not fill my expectations, but it is a good cast.
The plot... I'll just say it looks like is true to the book, like it looked it was going to be in the second movie (considering that the plot of the last movie was so differently from the one of the book)

Definitely the first movie is my favorite!

The Richest Man In Babylon

The Richest Man in Babylon - George S. Clason

Very frequently my dad gives me books, not the books that I want, the ones that he wants me to read.
This was one of them.

I found it on my cleaning day.

When my dad gave it to me I didn't find anything interesting so I just store it, like many others. But that day it looked like the most awesome treasure!

Suddenly I had in my hand some answers to one of my problems, money.
Specifically how to acquire and maintain it; explained in one of the best ways, with parables and stories!

Stories about Babylon!
Babylon for my has always been such a magical city.

So full of intrigue I start reading it, just to find the most simple rules or lessons in a clear and encouraging language.

With so much important information I can hardly say which is my favorite part...

I guess some books are destined to meet us just when we need them.

The Business Of The 21st Century

The Business of the 21st Century - Robert T. Kiyosaki

Somebody told me to read books that really teach me something, he did not want me to read fantasy book, which I replied was that all the books has something to teach us even if that is only grammar and orthography.

Truly some books teach us more than others...

and thats why I decided to start reading one book of this every month.

My curiosity took me to this awesome book, which I finished in two days, I couldn't put it down!
I'm in love in the way how Robert Kiyosaki writes about economy.

It is so clear, and makes me want to read more and know more about finances... a topic that I never thought to be interested.

He objectively critical the business of network marketing, but more than that, he offers a lot of good information; Its the perfect book for making a decision or better understand the "Business Of The 21st Century".

The Scorch Trials - James Dashner

I can't deny I don't like it, it is amazing.

The effects just like in the first movie are greats;

the new cast, like Brenda or Jorge,are so perfect;

and the soundtrack was just marvelous...

But why they have to change so much the plot!!!!!
x.x
once again I have to say the post- apocalyptic city is awesome *O*
I think the party was my favorite part! o(*^▽^*)o

By the way I promise to finish my updates this week e.e

The Scorch Trials

The Scorch Trials - James Dashner

I am really enjoying this serie, it is getting intense...

I really can't remember what was waiting but it was different and I like it; I think that is something that makes it so brilliant! You can't imagine what's gonna happen next.

Something I love was how the play with their mines. Like Thomas, in the beginning it is too loving and caring, but in the end that is starting to disappear. You can feel how he is trying to fight it (all that pain, and hate), and still trying to be positive and keep some hope.
And I dont know if is the first book or just me but something tells me no to trust in girls!
Brenda is like super weird... And lets not talk about Teresa, I never like her, but she really is the chaos!!

Another thing I really like was the post- apocalyptic city, it's the only thing that have sense, talking about pollution in the present.

The writing is super fresh and easy. So perfect for young adults, I suppose.

I think I found the perfect metaphor to explain how i feel while reading this serie... it is like being drunk!
Hahahahahahahahaha

You can see what it is happening, hear it, feel it but you cant fully understand it, and you can never be sure if it is really happening...

I only expect the last book no to be the hangover XD

(Actually I have never being drunk, but i imagine it must be something like that.)

The Little Prince

The Little Prince - Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

The Little Prince is such an interesting book, too little and fast to read.

Sometime I heard that the interpretation of the book will depend on your age, like all books, I think. But this book in special should answer the questions of the children, of the adolescents and the adults...

This is the first time I read it so I dont know if it is true; but I have to say that the little Prince gave me a new perspective of common things.
Another thing I see in the book is this kind of features, satirically, of what people can become when they turn adults...

So I am curious...
Somebody has another interpretation of the book, that do not mind share it with me?

Please n.n

Allegiant

Allegiant - Veronica Roth

I feel this book isn't a fast reading like Insurgent.
Maybe is because of this whole new information about Tris family and the past events in the world, or the emotional burden of having two points of view.

I like the idea of the two point of view, because it gives us a complete picture of what is happening, which was very useful, because with the communication problems that Tris and Tobias have throughout the book we would have missed a large part of the story.

( XD hahaha)

Talking about Tris, I feel like his character could have developed more, she is like paralyzed... I don't know if it is for the change that she have in the first two books that I could not notice anything new about her way of thinking. And this for my, make her a little bit predictable.

Tobias well... he has a internal fight for his genes, and because of that in the end he completely changed.

In the end I felt a little disappointed, it wasn't the end I was expecting. :/

Wizards, Warriors and You, #1

The Forest of Twisted Dreams (Wizards, Warriors and You, #1) - Earl Norem, R.L. Stine

First of all i'm taking advantage of this post  wishing you all a Happy new year!!, and hoping you were able to complete all the goals you had set for 2015.
In my case I had to change of school and this made my world upside down... in a good way! This was one of my best years (if i can say it with my short age); but took me so much time this whole change that I almost couldn't read, thus to not being able to complete my reading challenge, and not even being able to do my updates.
But am back!
And ready for this new year!
Really feels just like coming back home...
Now let´s forget about my, and lets go to the important THE BOOK.
I read it like 20 times and never reach the end!! I am starting to think maybe am a bad wizard, I always get killed! but...
I love it anyway! it's really amazing, I didn't knew this kind of books existed.
So easy and fast to read. The perfect snack!
I will keep trying to reach the end as a WIZARD!
...because i dont want to be a warrior XDD

Jennifer Lawrence's 10 movies based on books

Reblogged from BookLikes:

Jennifer Lawrence

Last weeks broke the news that Jennifer Lawrence will take part in yet another book adaptation. After spectacular success of Hunger Games trilogy (the second part of Mockingjay hits theaters this Fall) the news may not surprise you but did you know that JLaw has a collection of ten movies based on books in her filmography? Here's an overview of Lawrence's book-to-movie picks, including those already made and awaiting movie projects.

Oh and one more thing: it's a special day today - HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JENNIFER! :-)

When asked about favorite YA series JLaw answered without hesitation:

Harry Potter. I was so crazy about Harry Potter I read it twice.

All of them twice. I didn’t have a favorite,

I thought they were all amazing.

Although JLaw picked Rowling's fantasy series as her ultimate hit she's more than eager to cast in book-to-movie adaptations from various genres. The actress has been known and appreciated by movie critics prior Hunger Games Part One movie but it is this very title that brought her international fame and crowds of fans. Hunger Games trilogy, however, wasn't the first adaptation Lawrence took part in.

  • In Winter's Bone based on Daniel Woodrell's novel Jennifer Lawrence played seventeen-year-old Ree Dolly who looked after her mentally ill mother. The actress gained praises and left a significant mark in the movie business receiving numerous awards and nominations proving she's a young and much talented actress.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

Papyrus to Datapad reviewed it:
There is a lot to dislike about this ridiculously popular book. The main character, the rather awkward romance triangle, the "wow i'm so tough and jaded" constant inner monologues of the main character. The self serving nature of the main character. The rather obscure, evil-for-evil's sake of the... read more

This is immensely better than the first book, in my opinion, and definitely my favorite book in the series. While the setting is not one to which I would typically be drawn – a Depression-era North Carolina lumber camp – Ron Rash’s characters, boldly drawn and irresistibly ruthless, are what make Serena truly worth reading.
